Chicago. I arrived in Chicago about a week ago, and already I can't imagine leaving. The sights, sounds and events are so much the life of the Midwest. Im in love with my new beach (!!!) about four blocks away from my house, and taken aback at the expanse of Lake Michigan. Dramatic thunderstorms have been the talk of the town here, as many commuters from up north in Wisconsin and the like are dealing with unheard of downpours and flooding.
For the first time since my early childhood, I get to be mesmerized and kept awake at night with howling winds, torrential downpours, and twisting purple skies.
